Merchandizing Module
Merchandizing is a key activity in any organization. It includes conceptualizing a product/range, designing, sourcing and ensuring that the final product reaches the customer on time.
This activity is all the more difficult in the apparel context due to the seasonal and fashion centric nature of this industry. New designs/colours have to be constantly created and converted into products that can be delivered to the customers in time.
APPS™ has the following features that helps companies better monitor the merchandizing activity. This includes:
- Style/Spec sheet creation
- Costing the style using historical information
- Creation of Time and Action calendar (milestones) for each activity: These activities can be style samples, size sets, fabric testing, order placement.
- Production and Purchase tracking: this can be linked with the raw material and finished goods vendors.
- Final Cost sheet: reviews the planned vs. actual costing of a style
- Merchandizing Groups: groups of people can be grouped together so that they can track their information. For e.g. Children’s department might have a different process than Ladies department and hence would want to track information differently.
- Alerts: Users can be assigned specific tasks by other authorized users and alerts can be sent out depending on the time and action and deadlines.
- Work Order Creation: merchandizers can create work orders that can be distributed to vendors/internal production/purchase departments.
- Sales Analysis: analysis of sales information based on product categories, season, location etc. etc.
